After use, rinse the wood with warm water and optionally a little detergent. Never leave the wood in water for a long time.
Your holivio product will thank you if you dry it with a tea towel shortly after your shower.
Rub the wood with a little olive or linseed oil every now and then to prevent the olive wood from drying out.

Durch Abtropfrillen, Löcher oder eine erhöhte Auflage kann das Wasser unter der Seife ablaufen und Luft zirkulieren. So wird die Seife nicht matschig und hält länger. Ab und zu die Schale ausspülen und trocknen lassen.

Ja. Olivenholz ist sehr dicht, nimmt wenig Wasser auf und ist im Bad bewährt. Wichtig ist, dass es zwischendurch abtrocknen kann – also nicht in einer Pfütze oder direkt im Duschstrahl stehen. Mit gelegentlichem Einölen bleibt es lange schön.

Seifenreste mit warmem Wasser abspülen, Rillen mit einer weichen Bürste säubern und die Schale an der Luft trocknen lassen. Wenn das Holz grau oder rau wird, leicht anschleifen und mit Öl einreiben.

Sehr hart: Olivenholz erreicht eine Janka-Härte von rund 12.000 Newton und ist damit etwa doppelt so hart wie Buche oder Eiche. Mit einer Dichte von rund 980 kg/m³ zählt es zu den schwersten europäischen Hölzern. Bei richtiger Pflege halten Produkte aus Olivenholz viele Jahre bis Jahrzehnte.

Das Olivenholz stammt aus dem gesamten Mittelmeerraum. Verarbeitet wird es in der holivio-Manufaktur in Deutschland – in Handarbeit und aus unbehandeltem Olivenholz. Weil Olivenholz extrem hart und langlebig ist, hält ein Produkt bei guter Pflege viele Jahre; das ist nachhaltiger als Kunststoffartikel, die häufig ersetzt werden.
